Create and schedule a post
Write once, add photos or a video, tick the accounts, check each network, then post now, schedule, save a draft or send it for approval.
Write the post
- Open Create Post (button at the top, or press c) with the right brand chosen in the header. Type the text in Text. The counter shows the limit of the strictest network among the accounts ticked (2,200 for Instagram, 280 for X…).
- Brand hashtags adds the brand’s hashtags missing from the text; Call to action adds the brand’s call to action and its link (both set on the Brand page).
- In Photos and videos, select Upload (the files also go to the Media Library) or From the library. The order is the order on the networks; the first one is the cover. ← → move a file, ✕ removes it from the post.
- In Publish to, tick the accounts. An account marked Reconnect, Error or Paused cannot be ticked. A Pinterest board is its own account.
While a file is uploading, the Post buttons wait: keep the page open until “Saving the file on the media server…” is gone.
Check each network
- Network checks shows one line per network of the ticked accounts: Ready, or what that network refuses (text too long, photo or video missing, too many photos, photos and videos mixed, photo shape for Instagram). It updates while you type.
- Preview shows the post as it will look for the first account ticked.
- As long as a check is red, Post stays locked and the line under the buttons says why.
TikTok and YouTube add a card of their own choices (who can see the post, title, visibility, made for kids): see TikTok and YouTube.
Post now or schedule
- To schedule, turn on Schedule for later and choose the date and time (at least one minute ahead). Times are in the time zone of your device, shown under the fields.
- Select Post. Switch off: the post goes out now (“Your post is going out now.”). Switch on: “Post scheduled.” and JustCaster publishes at that time. You land in Posts.
- Save draft keeps the post without any check, even with no account ticked.
- Send for approval (when your plan has approvals) sends it to the brand’s client logins: nothing goes out before it is approved; with a date, it is scheduled as soon as it is approved.
- Daily limit reached: the account has used its posts for 24 hours. The post is not blocked: it waits and goes out by itself at the time shown.
- “Reconnect first.” means a LinkedIn access ends before the post goes out: reconnect the account, or the post will not be published.
- The Campaign card puts the post in a campaign of the brand.
Change a post
In Posts, Edit opens the post in this screen. Drafts, posts in review, scheduled, unscheduled, failed, missed and on hold posts can be changed; a post being published or already published cannot. Saving replaces its media and accounts; an approved post needs a new approval.
