Connecting accounts
Connect YouTube
Your channel through your Google account: video uploads with title, visibility and audience, comments and figures.
Before you start
- The Google account must have a YouTube channel.
- Until Google has audited JustCaster, YouTube keeps uploads private, whatever visibility is chosen.
- Every YouTube post is one video.
Connect YouTube
- Choose the brand in the header, open Social Accounts and select Connect on the YouTube card.
- Google’s page opens: choose the Google account of the channel, tick every permission and select Continue.
- Approve every permission: without one of them, a part of JustCaster stays empty (figures, comments or publishing).
- Back in JustCaster, the green line confirms “YouTube: 1 new account connected” and the account shows Connected.
Publish on YouTube
Write the post in Create Post and tick the YouTube account in Publish to. Network checks shows “Ready” or what to fix for YouTube:
| Rule | On this network |
|---|---|
| Video | 1 video, required; a vertical video of 3 minutes or less becomes a Short |
| Title | Up to 100 characters, without angle brackets |
| Description | Your post text, up to 5,000 characters, without angle brackets |
- A YouTube — channel card appears for each channel ticked. Video title is filled with the first line of your text: change it if needed (100 characters).
- Choose the Visibility: Public, Unlisted or Private.
- Answer Is this video made for kids? (required by YouTube).
- Tick Altered or synthetic content if the video shows realistic content altered or made with AI.
What JustCaster reads and does
- Analytics: subscribers, videos and views, and per-video figures.
- Inbox: comments on your videos, answered from JustCaster.
- Competitors: any public channel can be followed with this connection.
