Teams and clients

Set up post approvals

Send posts to your client before they go out: the client approves them or says what should change.

Send a post for approval

  1. Invite the client with the role Client for this brand (Team → Invite team member).
  2. In Create post, write the post as usual (with a date if it should be scheduled once approved) and select Send for approval.
  3. The post goes to In review: nothing is published. The brand’s client logins get a notification and the e-mail “A post is waiting for your approval”.

“Send for approval” appears when your plan includes approvals. An automation (advanced level) can remind the client after a few hours (“a post waits for approval”).

The numbers match the steps below.
  1. The client opens Posts to approve (header button) or the link in the e-mail: Posts → In review.
  2. Approve: with a time ahead, the post is scheduled at once (“Approved and scheduled.”); without, it becomes an approved draft the team schedules.
  3. Request changes opens a field: say what should change…
  4. …and select Send. The post goes back to Draft with “Changes requested: …”, and its author gets a notification and an e-mail.

The team edits the post (Create post shows the client’s note at the top) and sends it for approval again.
